Environment & We

Environment & We

Environment plays an important role in healthy living and the existence of life on planet earth. Earth is a home for different living species and we all are dependent on the environment for food, air, water, and other needs. Therefore, it is important for every individual to save and protect our Environment.

Why is change required?

At the time being, our societies have a deep and harmful impact on the environment, on a local as well as global scale. Indeed, global population is soaring, causing an increasing demand for food and goods. Massive means of productions are required, translating into a rapid resource and energy consumption we will not be able to sustain for long without depleting the resources of the Earth. In addition to this, the system for the disposal of individual as well as industrial waste is neither efficient enough nor well designed enough to avoid huge amounts of pollution. This does negatively affects biodiversity on Earth, as well as our own living conditions.

Large scale and global environmental hazards to human health include climate change, stratospheric ozone depletion, changes in ecosystems due to loss of biodiversity, changes in hydrological systems and in the supplies of fresh water, land degradation, air quality degradation, and stresses on food-producing systems.

How does Panashi act to preserve the Environment?

How does Panashi act to preserve the Environment?

Panashi majorly focuses on land degradation in Indian forests.

Land degradation can occur because various factors. One which is quite noticeable and can be avoided by simple actions, is the presence of waste. We aim at keeping our forests clean from garbage, especially plastics and glass bottles. Those items are often carried around when on a tour, and they should not end up in the forest, where they will take hundreds of years to be degraded.

Nahargarh forest is our first priority in Jaipur, since it is subjected to high risks because of the important number of tourists in this area, and because of the low restrictions of the forest department.

We are conducting monthly cleaning camps where our team works for 3 to 4 hours to pick up plastic wrappers, glass liquor bottles and cigarette buds.

We also are planting trees in different areas to avoid forest shrinking.
